BNSF 2745 is a rebuilt EMD GP30 (one of my favorite locomotives).  It started life as #964 on the Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad in the 1962.  It is still common to see locotomotives that are 40+ years old doing local switching and "grunt work" around a railroad.  The CB&Q merged with other railroads in 1970 to become the Burlington Northern, which in turn became the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) in 1995.
