Taken on a siding at S. Holgate St and 6th Avenue S.  BNSF 3422 is the former Frisco 337, a yard switcher built in 1969. I've been near this engine when it is pushing cars around along Alaskan Way; it's about as smoky and industrial as a switcher can get, a glorious show for people who love these gritty workhorses.

The Frisco (St. Louis & San Francisco Railroad) was merged into the Burlington Northern in 1980.
